Tsawadi, Knight Inlet

Item consists of one photograph of Tsawadi village, Knight Inlet. At least fifteen villagers of various ages face the camera in front of low wooden buildings and totem poles.

Tseshaht man

Item consists of a studio portrait of an unidentified Indigenous man. This photograph can also be found in Dally album 5 (MS-3100.5), where it is captioned "Sheesat Siwash." Sheesat is assumed to refer to Tseshaht First Nation.

The photograph may have been taken in 1866, when Frederick Dally participated in a tour of inspection of Indigenous communities around Vancouver Island on the H.M.S. Scout.
