Letters from Mark Osborn to Danvers Osborn

The file contains two letters addressed to Osborn Danvers, the Telegraph Office supervisor at Bamfield in 1916. The letters are from his cousin Mark Osborn of Bedford, England. In them, Mark Osborn describes his visit in 1866 to Victoria and Esquimalt aboard H.M.S. Alert and discusses the war.

The file consists of photocopies of Department of Education forms re attendance of pupils, ca. 1913-1914. The forms are signed Dorothy Bryant and include one filled out for Sumas. There is a also circular letter from Women's Suffrage Referendum Association and a circular from the Dept. of Education regarding prohibition, both dated 1916.

Reminiscences of Basil Oswin Robinson

The file contains two volumes of the reminiscences of Basil Oswin Robinson including "Memories of an old timer" (1972) and "87 not out" (1975). Mr. Robinson emigrated to Canada in 1909 and worked at Bamfield, Alberni, Buntzen Lake, Nanaimo and Vancouver. He served with the British army during the First World War and then taught school in Vancouver.
