Provincial Museum taxidermy shop

Item consists of one stereo photograph of the Provincial Museum's taxidermy shop. John Fannin (1837-1904), the first curator of the museum, is seated at centre. Francis Kermode (1874-1946), curator and later director of the museum, is possibly seated in the back corner on the viewer's right. They are surrounded by various taxidermy specimens in progress.

Mary, Haida woman

Item consists of a studio portrait of a Haida woman identified as "Indian Mary." She is in a Hudson's Bay Company blanket and has a labret. Alternate photographs indicate that Mary worked as a washerwoman for Hannah Maynard between 1867-1869. Additional information found on verso of PN05311-B.
