The series consists of Mechanics' Liens and Woodmen's Liens from 1913-1915, 1920-1921, 1923-1926, 1931, 1933-1935, 1938, 1940-1953, 1942, 1945, 1953-1956. The register covering 1940-1953 includes an index.

Mineral Claims Mortgage Register, 2 vols. This register is a record of mortgages held on mineral claims, of construction and work agreements, and of various indentures relating to mines at Antler Creek, Grouse Creek, Canadian Creek, Lowhee Creek, Jack of Clubs Creek, Stevens Creek, French Creek, Beggs Gulch, Valley Creek and Mosquito Creek. Volume 2 consists of an alphabetical index.

The series consists of mining leases filed at Victoria and arranged by mining district. The records were created by the Chief Gold Commissioner between 1876 and 1930.

This series consists of two volumes of Water Rights Branch Board of Investigation minute books of meetings regarding the adjudication of water rights claims and the issuance of water licenses pursuant to the Water Act, 1909.

The series consists of the annual reports, publications and minutes of various health units in the Okanagan and Kootenay regions. The records were in the custody of the Interior Health Authority and it appears that the Health Authority received them after 20 smaller health units were merged to create one geographically-based health authority in 2001.

The series consists of the annual reports of the South Okanagan-Similkameen, the Cariboo, the Northern Interior, the North Okanagan, West Kootenay, Central Kootenay, East Kootenay, Skeena and Selkirk health units. Although the records date to between 1914 and 1999, not every health unit is represented by a complete run of annual reports. The Legislative Library of BC also has many of the same annual reports, and it is possible that any gaps in this series can be filled by their holdings. The annual reports provide statistics and overviews of matters of public health and safety.

The series also consists of the minutes of the South Okanagan-Similkameen Board of Health, and the Health Officers’ Council of British Columbia. The minutes document key decisions made by the Board.

Naturalization record book.

The series consists of one volume of the naturalization register created at the County Court of Quesnel. Records date to between 1914 and 1977. The ledger is arranged alphabetically and entries provide information on the full name of applicant, their occupation, former place of residence, current place of residence, the date notice and papers were filed, the date naturalization certificate was issued, the date it was delivered and to whom it was delivered. Places of residence include Quesnel, Cottonwood, Moose Heights, Wells, Hixon, Barkerville, and Van Winkle. The register also includes a “declaration of intent” list tucked into the front cover.

The series consists of records created by the Resident Mining Engineer of the Northeastern district between 1917 and 1937. Records include correspondence inward and outward, largely with Deputy Minister and Provincial Mineralogist and files re lecture series run jointly with Dept. of Education in 1930's.

This series contains records of the McBride Ranger District. Types of operational records include contracts, correspondence and inspection reports relating to timber sales.

This series contains the operational records of the Kamloops Forest District relating to range and timber management. The records include correspondence files pertaining to improvements, pest control, public sustained-yield units, timber berths, tree farm licences, farm woodlots and timber marks. Some records were inherited from Cariboo, Vernon and Southern Interior Forest Districts, and from the Canadian Forestry Service during its administration by the Railway Belt.

This series contains operational records from the Prince George Forest District and consists of property ledgers for "non-expendable property" - see: Operational Manual with instructions to Forest Officers ... (Victoria, 1942), pp. 161-168, 311-327 for definitions and instructions - and a uniform ledger containing records concerning items on charge to personnel who have left the district. Files 1-5, Volume 1 are a property ledger for the period 1953-1955; File 6, Volume 1 through File 1, Volume 4 are a property ledger, 1961-1966; and Files 2-4, Volume 4 contain a uniform ledger, 1950-1970.

This series contains a paper on recommendations for selective logging in the Prince George District by J.H. Jenkins, junior forester.

This series contains working records consisting of: File 1. Land Use and Land Alienation, Forestry vs. Ranching in the Interior of British Columbia, a xerographic copy of a paper presented to a hearing on land use at Quesnel on November 15, 1968; File 2. Memoranda on range management training 1978; File 3. Agenda for the 1978 Range Managers' meeting.

This series contains records relating to pre-emptions in the Cariboo, Lillooet, Lytton and Kootenay Districts recorded by various Gold Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners of Lands and Works. The records consist of correspondence, notices of claim, sketches and affidavits and pertains largely to records in the vicinities of Quesnel, Alexandria, Williams Lake, Lytton and Cache Creek. The series also includes a detailed account of town lot sales at Quesnellemouth held on 13 October 1863 as well as an application for wages due, correspondence on various land disputes, several water records, and proposed leases of government reserves.

Presentments of the Grand Jurors in and for the District of Cariboo East, July 1867. The report is submitted by J.H. Todd (foreman) to Chief Justice Begbie and reports on the Jury's inspection of the hospital, jail, court house, sidewalks and roads, fire hazards in town particularly the need for an explosives storehouse, the need for better trails to outlying creeks and the annoyance caused by an unnecessary number of dogs. Chief Justice Begbie responds to each of these points in his covering letter forwarding the presentments to the Colonial Secretary.

Criminal case files including Speedy Trials. The files from 1919-1923 are from the Fort George or South Fort George registry; from 1925-1949 they are marked Prince George registry.

This series contains operational records of the Prince George Forest District relating to forest administration, 1919-1981. Records are arranged according to the Forest Service filing system. These records include annual reports, ranger meeting summaries, records regarding timber exports, forest protection, forest reserves, the Peace River hydroelectric projects, the Mica Dam flood basin, land use, timber cruising, silviculture, aerial photography, rights-of-way, timber sales, timber licenses, Public Sustained Yield Units, tree farm licences, and forest wood lot licenses. Also contains construction and maintenance reports pertaining to ranger stations, lookouts, forest roads and trails, boathouses, telephone lines and other Forest Service facilities. Records consist of correspondence, memoranda, reports, licenses, permits, plans, etc.

Adoption case files.

The series consists of civil case files from the Prince George Supreme Court from 1914 to 1948. Files from 1914 up to 3/1924 are from the Fort George registry; from 4/1924 - 1948 are from the Prince George registry. Civil case files may contain the notice of claim or notice of petition, writs and affidavits, orders and a final judgment.

Case files from appeals of criminal convictions; Rex v. Telesphore Marion, 1917 and Rex v. William G. Bradshaw and George W. Armstrong, 1923.

The series consists of cause books created by the County Court of Quesnel between 1954 and 1977. All volumes include loose indexes in the front of the ledgers. One volume also includes criminal court cause books.

Civil case files, with the exception of probate/estate files (GR-2245) Mechanics' liens (GR-2708) and Woodmen's liens (GR-2708) which have been filed separately.

This series contains plaint and procedure books, 1864-1896. In addition to the County Court of Cariboo at Quesnel, also includes cases heard in the County Court of Cariboo at Soda Creek, Richfield, and 150 Mile House.

Probate/estate files.

This series consists of range management records created by the Quesnel Forest district in the Cariboo Forest Region, and its predecessors, from 1927-2002. This series may contain records created by the Prince George (also known as Fort George), Kamloops, Cariboo and Williams Lake Forest Districts and/or Grazing Districts. Note that the names and boundaries of districts and regions varied over the years. All files were managed by the Quesnel Forest District when the files were closed in or before 2006.

Records relate to the administration of Grazing Licences and Grazing Permits as defined under the Range Act, and Grazing Leases as defined under the Land Act. This includes their issuance, amendment, transfer, billing, monitoring, policy, and administration. This may include records concerning additions and deletions of land and/or authorized Animal Unit Months (AUM) from grazing tenures.

The series also includes individual range unit files which relate to the management of larger range units. These are areas of range land that may be shared by multiple tenure holders. This includes operational records such as range unit plans, inspections covering more than one range tenure, and general information concerning the history of the management of specific range units.

Records in this series include tenure application forms, grazing plans, range use plans, correspondence, maps, photos, surveys, reports, records determining range boundaries and use, and information on range improvements and clearing. Improvements can include infrastructure such as fences, gates and improving access to water sources for livestock.

Each file relates to a particular range tenure. Note that there may be additional individuals or companies who held the tenure over time which are not listed in the file title. Files within each box are arranged alphabetically by file title.

Volumes are an account book, 30 Jun 1864 - 26 Sep 1865; charge book 24 Aug 1896 - 30 Jul 1902; charge book and notebook, 03 Sep 1918 - 09 Jul 1920; notebook, 30 Dec 1947 - 12 Apr 1950; and notebook, 18 Jun 1950 - 10 Oct 1950.
