This series contains the operational records of the Kamloops Forest District relating to range and timber management. The records include correspondence files pertaining to improvements, pest control, public sustained-yield units, timber berths, tree farm licences, farm woodlots and timber marks. Some records were inherited from Cariboo, Vernon and Southern Interior Forest Districts, and from the Canadian Forestry Service during its administration by the Railway Belt.

The series consists of Quesnel Police Court record books created between October 1925 and October 1950.

The series consists of mining leases filed at Victoria and arranged by mining district. The records were created by the Chief Gold Commissioner between 1876 and 1930.

The series consists of indexes to partnerships registered in the County Court of Quesnel. The ledgers are arranged alphabetically and cover both firms and individuals. The whereabouts of the records to which the indexes refer is unknown. Typical entries in the firm index include the style of firm, names of persons composing the firm, and the date of declaration. Entries in the individual index consist of the name of individual, the style of firm of which a member, and the date of declaration.

The series is a record book kept from 1890 to 1891 at the County Court of Cariboo for sittings at Clinton, Lillooet, Soda Creek, Barkerville, Quesnelle and Ashcroft.

100 Mile House Forest District timber sale harvesting licences
The series consists of timber sale harvesting licences (TSHL) from the 100 Mile House Forest District. Timber sale harvesting licences were first introduced in 1967 and provided individuals and businesses with a permit to cut a volume of timber. This series documents the Government’s administration of timber licences during the period of 1963-1990.
Each file contains correspondence, reports and may also contain maps of the cutting area. The files also contain the TSHL application, cutting permit, timber value appraisals and reappraisals, stumpage rate notices, cutting plan maps, charts, clearance status inquiries, and inspection reports. The files are numbered with the licence number and, in many cases, a cutting permit number.
The records have been classified as 19590-45 in the Forest Operational Classification System (ORCS).

Cariboo government office records
This series consists of a wide variety of records received or created by government officials in the Cariboo region from 1868 to 1915. Most of the records are addressed to government officials or were created by courts in the following places: Richfield, Barkerville, Quesnelle Forks and other locations in the Cariboo district. Over the years, the government offices responsible for the entire Cariboo district were located in each of these towns. The majority of the records appear to have been received by the Government Office, Richfield.
At this time government offices held a very wide range of responsibilities which could be done by as few as one person. The records relate to several government officials: the Gold Commissioner, Government Agent, Magistrate, County Court judge and Supreme Court judge.
The majority of the records are related to leasing, purchasing or gaining access to water for mining claims. This includes some records from the Gold Commissioner court.
There are also many county court and supreme court records. These records include summons; wills; probate and other estate records; search warrants; assizes; court transcripts; evidence; coroner inquest records; assize court calendars; sheriff records; and notes of the Board of Liquor Licence Commissioners approving renewal of liquor licences.
Other types of records include general correspondence from settlers; census data; voters lists; voter registration forms from Keithley Creek; criminal statistics; Land Ordinances; pre-emption records and other records related to the Land Act; naturalization oaths; indentures; receipts and financial records; maps; petitions for liquor licences; a BC Savings Bank (Cariboo Branch) depositors book; and a register of letters inward and outward for 1910-1915.

Cariboo district : tax assessment rolls
Series consists of Schedule B tax assessment rolls created by Government Agents or other government officials for the Cariboo District. There are rolls for Barkerville for the years 1888, 1890, and 1892 (two pages) and one roll for Quesnelle [Quesnel] for the year 1890. The records include names, occupation, numbers of livestock, lot information, and assessments for real property, wild land, personal property, and income taxes as well as dates of notice, total assessed taxes, and provincial revenue taxes.

This series consists of a Magistrate's Court charge and sentence book, 22 Feb 1898 - 29 Jun 1909 and list of defendents with surnames starting A-D giving charge and sentence, 1911-1921. The back of the volume contains Williams Lake policeman's daily reports 9 Aug - 24 Sep 1923.

This series contains the Commissioner of Grazing's file carbon copies of free grazing permits issued in the Vernon and Cariboo Grazing Districts as well as a letter transmitting grazing fees (form) from the Kamloops Grazing District. The boundaries of grazing districts coincide with those of the forest districts of the same name.

Clinton County Court plaint and procedure book
This series contains a plaint and procedure book, January 1914 January 1952 (No. 1/1914- No. 10/1951). This volume also includes Supreme Court civil cases, January 1922-July 1952 (No. 1/1922 - No. 14/1952)- and County Court criminal cases. Indexes are included. The series also consists of container 929018-0028 with a 1953-1956 plaint and procedure book (index included), and indexes for the period 1957 to 1984. Plaint and procedure books for 1957 to 1984 do not appear to have been transferred to the Archives.
