Series consists of one record book created by the Nanaimo Provincial Police Court between 28 July 1948 and 30 Dec 1950. Records relate to a variety of Nanaimo district matters including: motor vehicle driving and license offences, liquor offenses, etc. Entries can include details such as: date, name of prosecutor, name of defendant, nature of the charge(s), costs, arresting officer, order or conviction fine amount, date fine paid, receipt number, signature of magistrate, and additional remarks such as plea.
The series consists of Magistrate's record books for Ashcroft and including Spences Bridge cases, from 1949 to 1963. The magistrate noted lists and statistics in the back of the volumes.

The series consists of records of the Vancouver City Police Force Inquiry. Records include the Commission Secretary's minutes and list of exhibits (1955-1956); a letter to the Attorney-General's office (1955); an unsigned memorandum; the interim report (1955) and the final report (1956) by Commissioner Reginald Hibbert Tupper; and 35 volumes of evidence in transcript form and transcripts of proceedings (1955-1956). Volumes 1, 2, 4 and 5 of the transcripts of evidence were never received by the BC Archives.

Certificates of appointment and certificates of dismissal for police constables and peace officers under the National Harbours Board Act and the Canada Ports Corporation Act registered at the Vancouver Law Courts. The certificates (many of which are photocopies) were originally kept on a Shannon file with no consistent numbering system or pairing of appointments and dismissals.
