This series consists of the records of the Commission on the Sale by Public Auction, 1909, of Suburban Lands in the New Westminster Land District, 1916. The commissioner, Vancouver lawyer Robert Wilson Harris, was appointed 28 April 1916 to investigate the sale and all dealings, transfers, payments, etc. of certain suburban lands in Point Grey in district lots 139, 140, 176, 538, 540, 206, 217 and 2027 in the New Westminster land district. Commission records consist of Provincial Secretary's correspondence file, evidence presented at the hearings (reproduced as an appendix to the report) and a signed copy of the commissioner's report.

The records include transcripts of evidence taken at hearings (1913-1916) and copies of minutes of decision for Cowichan, New Westminster, Okanagan, Kamloops and Lytton agencies taken by the Indian Reserve Commission (1876-1880).

This series consists of correspondence inward from the Royal Commission on Indian Affairs (also known as the McKenna–McBride Commission) transmitting interim and draft reports, progress reports, minutes of decision, and confidential report to the Department of the Provincial Secretary, 1913-1916. The bulk of this record comprises a manuscript copy of the Commission's published report.

The series consists of three photograph albums created by the Royal Commission on Indian Affairs between 1913 and 1916. The albums may have been created as display or presentation albums for specific commissioners. Many of the photographs in the albums duplicate each other and were also used in the published report of the commission.

Commission records consist of typewritten transcripts of evidence presented at the proceedings, argument on behalf of the North Pacific Lumber Company and the report in which he recommended a settlement with the company.

The commissioner, Vancouver barrister Henry Osborne Alexander, was appointed to investigate the actions of past and present Boards of School Trustees of the City of Vancouver with regard to purchase and sale of school sites and school property, the purchase of furniture and supplies and generally all matters coming under the Board's jurisdiction. He was to investigate also the personal actions of all Board members, officers and employees, and appointments made by the Board.

The commissioner, Vancouver accountant Matthew Joseph Crehan, was appointed on 6 May 1912 to inquire into the affairs of the Municipality of South Vancouver. He investigated the administration of school affairs (purchasing of school sites, supplies, awarding of contracts, etc.) as well as the administration of the departments of the municipal government. Commission records consist of the original signed report, plus copy and five volumes of typewritten transcripts of proceedings.

Commission records include the report, correspondence - most of which are letters and three telegrams from a constituent to the Attorney General regarding milk legislation, and 10 photographs of barns, cattle, etc.
