Distinguished Visitors Books, 1951-1986, signed by the British Royal family, other royalty, Field-Marshall Montgomery of Alamein, Heads of State, Ambassadors, etc. Vol. 1, Aug. 1951 - Sept. 1969; Vol. 2, Oct. 1969 - July 1978; Vol. 3, Aug. 1978 - March 1986. Vol. 4 contains signatures of those admitted to the Order of the Dogwood, Nov. 1966 - Oct. 1980, with signatures including the British Royal Family, Major-General George Pearkes, Nancy Greene, and Terry Fox.

Photographs depict visits to Victoria and Vancouver by Prince Philip and Prince Andrew as part of a Royal tour which included the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, AB. Photos include sites visited such as the Vancouver Rowing Club, downtown Victoria and a presentation of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards held in the Legislative Assembly chamber. Also depicted are: Minister, Provincial Secretary and Travel Industry, Grace McCarthy; Mike Young (Mayor of Victoria); Premier W.R. (Bill) Bennett, and Lieutenant Governor Henry Pybus Bell-Irving.

City of Vancouver Family Court calendars. Oversized volumes showing date, offender, offence, remands and adjournments and disposition of each case.

Certificates of appointment and certificates of dismissal for police constables and peace officers under the National Harbours Board Act and the Canada Ports Corporation Act registered at the Vancouver Law Courts. The certificates (many of which are photocopies) were originally kept on a Shannon file with no consistent numbering system or pairing of appointments and dismissals.

The series consists of applications, certificates of appointment, oaths, certificates of dismissal and indexes for Special Constables under the Railway Act filed at the Vancouver Court Registry between 1903 and 1996. Appointments were made by a Vancouver Police Magistrate or a Vancouver Stipendiary Magistrate (or Deputy) or the Chief Commissioner of Police for the Dominion of Canada on the recommendation of member of the Department of Investigation for the railway company. Certificates of dismissal were issued by the Superintendent or an Inspector of the Department of Investigation of the railway company. This collection has records for the Canadian Pacific Railway, the Canadian National Railway, the Great Northern Railway and Via Rail Canada.

The series consists of indexes to cases heard in the Vancouver Court of Appeals between 1909 and 1986. The indexes were originally housed in bound ledgers, and are arranged first by year and then alphabetically by surname. Indexes exist for both respondent and appellant.

The series consists of selected Family Court case files created by the Vancouver Provincial Court and its predecessor, the Vancouver Family Court, between 1942 and 1972.

The sample files were chosen by the Court and consist of case files created under the following acts:
Box 1: Children of Unmarried Parents' Act
Box 2: Juvenile Delinquents Act
Box 3 : Protection of Children Act
Box 4: Wives and Children's Maintenance Act

Although the files are identified by name, there is no discernible arrangement or file code system for the sampled files.

The series consists of Vancouver County court judgement indexes from 1913 to 1952. Volumes 1 to 3 are arranged by the debtors and volumes 4 to 6 are arranged by creditors. The indexes provide plaint numbers.

Lists, receipts and correspondence (1940-1950) regarding exhibits from criminal trials (1947 and 1949) in the Vancouver Police Court, County Court and Supreme Court arranged alphabetically.
