Photograph depicts a group of Military Police soldiers at the military training camp in Vernon, B.C. Military Police were trained soldiers who were assigned, sometimes temporarily, to maintain order in the camp. Police were were usually chosen for their physical stature, but soldiers who were wounded abroad and discharged were often sent to military training camps as Military Police once they had healed. In the middle of the group is a highland officer wearing a traditional kilt and sporran.
