Item consists of one photograph of the Sidney Spit Marine Park. In the foreground is the "Dulwen" and a small dingy to the viewer's left.
The "Dulwen" was built in 1957 for Dulcie and Owen Fowler. At the time, Owen was the 2nd Commodore of the Capital City Yacht Club and owner of Tortoise Island, a small outcrop off Portland Island. The 32’ run-a-bout boat was custom designed by naval architect Ed Monk Sr. and was built at Philbrook’s Boatyard in Victoria, BC.
