Series consists of original civil orders and judgements created between 1922 and 1941 by the Penticton Supreme Court. Orders are the formal expression of the ruling of the court and judgements are the final orders issued in a case. Records relate to a variety of civil matters including divorces.

This series consists of two Similkameen Division of Yale Land District town lot subdivision registers of District Lot 2450S, Block B and Block A, lots 1-271F, and 280-348. The records relate to irrigated lands in the southern Okanagan. Earliest entries from 1921 and bother volumes were superseded in 1923 (i.e. no further entries were made after 1923).

The records are arranged numerically, and record the alienation of land from the Crown (by purchase etc.), within the Southern Okanagan Irrigation Project at Oliver (B.C.) Series contains the records of the Assistant Gold Commissioner, Lytton, B.C. relating to pre-emptions. Letters inward to Henry Maynard Ball, April 12, 1860 to December 3, 1860, and letters inward to John Boyd, 1870-1871. Includes correspondence, notices, and other papers on pre-emptions at Nicola Lake, Boston Bar, Lytton, Cache Creek, Kamloops and in the vicinity of various Indian Reserves. Also an account of moneys received by the Collector of General Revenue, Similkameen, 1861.

The series consists of mining leases filed at Victoria and arranged by mining district. The records were created by the Chief Gold Commissioner between 1876 and 1930.

The series consists of records created by the Boundary Gold Commissioner between 1890 and 1922. It includes correspondence inward, records of claims, certificates of work, conveyances of claims, water record and records of free miners certificates. Records may also relate to the Kettle River and Osoyoos Mining Recorders.

The item is an audio recording of an interview with Harold Allision. Harold Allison is a third generation cattle rancher in the Princeton-Similkameen Valley area. His grandfather John Fall Allison was the first white settler in the valley. The first Allison ran a cattle ranch and trading post in the area. The bounds of the ranch, types of cattle run, and early markets are discussed, as is the state of the present day (1977) ranch, and its bounds, stock and market.

This series consists of registers used to record land assessment values from 1900-1912. All records are likely related to the Kootenay, Similkameen and Okanagan areas, primarily around Osoyoos to Trail. The registers were likely created by the local Government Agent or Assessor for the provincial Surveyor of Taxes as part of the creation of property tax assessment rolls. The registers list the property description, owner, value. Some volumes may also describe the property’s assets, such as buildings, cultivated land, orchards, available water, available timber land, roads, distance to schools or post offices.

The item is a reel of unedited film footage. Summer scenes showing Pinewood Lodge, Allison Pass, mountain scenery, an alpine meadow, and the Similkameen.

Footage includes: Manning Park and highway scenes en route to Penticton; Peach Festival parade (including girls' pipe band); crowning of Queen Val Vedette; festival midway; harness racing. Rodeo events include pattern riding, bronco riding, calf roping, bulldogging steers and bull riding. Also lake shore and orchard scenes. BC highway construction is promoted in the commentary.
