*Caption on front: Camels in BC. Introduced into the colony in May, 1862 by Frank Laumeister - 21 in the band. The last survivor of which died about 1905. 1. W.H. Smith with rope. 2. A. McPhail. Taken 1888 at the back of Ingram estate, Grand Prairie.
