Sawmill (Unidentified).

Daily production book of an unidentified sawmill producing lath, shingles, pickets, etc. Entries in the volume (p 2-9) for January through April 1885 list the "daily cut" of the sawmill; this is broken down by the type of logs cut and the amount of lumber produced. P 34-35 contain listings of logs and shingle bolts received at the mill January through March 1885.

Muirhead, Cecil Davidson, 1899 - 1976.

Reminiscences entitled "Three weeks or there about in the life of a Northern policeman". Mr. Muirhead was appointed police constable at Finlay Forks in the fall of 1924. This is an account of a winter journey made from Finlay Forks to Fort McLeod then on to Prince George and back to Finlay Forks, ca. December-January, 1924/1925. It includes descriptions of people met, methods of crossing rivers, and police cases.

Papers relating to social welfare

The file consists of publications, correspondence, clippings, photographs and biographical information of Amy Leigh collected and created by Amy Leigh between 1943 and 2001. The file includes a copy of a report written in 1943 by Leigh about Japanese welfare under the British Columbia Security Commission.

Ocean Falls; from hill above

The file consists of 2 photographs probably taken by Muriel Laing, which depict Ocean Falls from similar vantage points on a nearby hill in 1935 or 1936. Images include buildings, water and surrounding mountains.

The file consists of 20 colour postcards (2 each of 10 different designs) created for commercial use during the 1958 British Columbia Centennial. The designs for the cards were probably created by the British Columbia Centennial Committee.

Barkerville account book

Handwritten notebook showing work expended on government dams and roads; accounts with J. Mason; work periods for Bald Head Company and expenses vs gold dust for Mills Company.

Kemano tunnel and powerhouse photographs

The file consists of 197 printed photographs taken between 1955 and 1956 by the Morrison-Knudsen Company of Canada. The photographs depict the construction of the Kemano tunnel and powerhouse that provided power for the Kitimat smelter, all part of the Aluminum Company of Canada’s project so build and power an aluminum smelter. In addition to construction photos, the images show workers, equipment, aerial views, transportation and the Wachwas village site. Each photograph has a date and caption and they are arranged by month and year.

The file consists of 5 items: 1 letter applies for a business license at Kennedy Flat; official correspondence (2 letters) pertaining to the effects of union of the colonies (1866) and confederation of the colony (1871) on E.G. Alston and R. Ker.

Two manuscript histories of Canada produced for the Dominion History Competition, which was possibly held for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897. The histories are by "Canadienne" and "Fleur de lis, Beaver".

Account Book

Account book for general supplies such as food, hay, clothing, shoes, tools, tobacco and drinks, paid for mainly by gold dust but also by cash and goods. Two customers identified, Captain Mitchell, Quesnelle Forks, and John Love, Richfield. Although the name Kamloops appears on the microfilm title page, there is no evidence to connect this manuscript with Kamloops.
