This series consists of exhibits and transcripts of proceedings from the Puntledge River Inquiry, 1962.

The series consists of records created by the Victoria Branch of the BCER Company between 1867 and 1967. The records, including those of predecessor companies, are grouped in seven categories: Administration, Light and Power, Transportation, Advertising and Publicity, Shortt Commission (1917), Miscellaneous and Maps

Administration includes financial records (accounts, appropriations, reports of corporate officials, salary ledgers - which reflect company organization - etc.).

Light and Power includes reports and statistics re power production and consumption, substation journals, engineering reports on the progress of the Jordan River development, Jordan River powerhouse journals (1912-1966), Goldstream powerhouse journals, records of predecessor companies as well as Public Utility Commission reports and appraisals of BCER property (1939).

Transportation includes internal reports, correspondence and financial records of predecessor company (National Electric Tramway and Lighting Company, Victoria Electric Railway and Lighting Company, Consolidated Railway Company).

Advertising and Publicity includes advertising files of copy and newspaper ad schedules, clipping books of newspaper ads and news items.

Shortt Commission records consist of 3 volumes containing proceedings, evidence exhibits and the report.

Miscellaneous includes some statistical data on rivers in BC some score books of the Jordan River Athletic Club as well as minutes and club files of the BC Electric Tennis Club.

Maps includes 9 maps of various systems and dams.

This series consists of records of the Public Utilities Commission, 1972. Records include proceedings at hearings pursuant to the Public Utilities Act in the matter of the application of British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority, Centennial Natural Gas Pipeline, Georgia Gulf Transmission, Malaspina Gas Pipeline, for the construction and operation of a pipeline or system to serve Powell River and Vancouver Island with natural gas.

Item consists of a transcript of an audio recording (BC Archives does not hold audio recording) on the topic of Gordon Kidd discusses the negotiations leading to Columbia River treaty, presumably including such issues as water rights and downstream power benefits. In 1963, Kidd was assistant controller of provincial water rights. The date of the recording is 19 January 1973.

The collection consists of audio recordings of thirteen talks on the topic "Perspectives on the Columbia River Treaty", presented at Simon Fraser University from January to April 1974, presumably as part of a course. The speakers include federal and provincial politicians, B.C. Hydro officials, treaty advisors and officials, and Canadian and American academics.

This series contains 28 volumes of proceedings at public hearings under the Water Act Into an application by British Columbia Hydro (BC Hydro) for a water licence to divert, use and store water out of the Columbia River at a point about 3 miles upstream from Revelstoke, B.C., near the lower end of the Little Dalles Canyon.

The sub-series consists of prints of 13 films from among the titles circulated by the BC Electric/BC Hydro lending library. The films include National Film Board productions, travelogues relevant to British Columbia and the northwest, films about electrical power in Canada, and U.S. productions dealing with the Columbia River. Some films are accompanied by additional film elements.

The item is a spliced ECO picture of a training film from ca. 1976. It employs live-action footage and animated maps to familiarize Hydro bus drivers with a particular bus route, Vancouver through Richmond to Delta and return.
