Journal of a trip to Wild Horse Creek and back, August to October, 1864.

The series consists of a manual of conveyance for the Wild Horse Creek district, created by the Kootenay Gold Commissioner between 1865 and 1972.

This series contains records relating to pre-emptions in the Cariboo, Lillooet, Lytton and Kootenay Districts recorded by various Gold Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners of Lands and Works. The records consist of correspondence, notices of claim, sketches and affidavits and pertains largely to records in the vicinities of Quesnel, Alexandria, Williams Lake, Lytton and Cache Creek. The series also includes a detailed account of town lot sales at Quesnellemouth held on 13 October 1863 as well as an application for wages due, correspondence on various land disputes, several water records, and proposed leases of government reserves.

Writs of Summons served on 11 November 1885 on McKenzie and Co. and McKenzie and Meagher from plaintiffs in Farwell, New Westminster and Similkameen Mines.

The file contains a typescript copy of an account by Robert M. Rylatt titled "Leaves from my diary: two years with the Canadian Pacific Railroad survey, Rocky Mountain Division." It consists of an account of the author's experiences with "S" party, C.P.R. survey, under Walter Moberly, summer 1871 to summer 1873, in vicinity of Howse and Yellowhead Passes.

Proceedings of the assize of 23 June - 14 July 1885 as kept by J.C. Hughes, Deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court at Farwell, West Crossing of the Columbia River; it also contains jury lists.

The series consists of four volumes of business records created by the Ophir Bed Rock Flume Company. The records include a minute book from 1890, and ledgers and day book showing wages paid, 1886-1889. These volumes were submitted as evidence in Edward Mainwaring Johnson v. the Ophir Bed Rock Flume Company and McCallum, 1890.

This series consists of records of the Royal Commission on the Nakusp and Slocan Railway, 1894, including: report, exhibits and transcripts of evidence.

The records consist of correspondence, receipts, accounts, petitions relating to pre-emptions, ferries, roads, public works, leases, and tax assessments. Includes (1) Metchosin District assessment roll, 1863; (2) pre-emption correspondence with William G. Cox and Peter O'Reilly, 1865, 1869; (3) receipt book for rental of crown lands, including waterfrontage and timber cutting, 1868-1869; (4) indenture for ferry charter at Omineca, 1872; (5) accounts relating to roads and bridges 1872-1873; (6) an 1880 petition re the graving dock; (7) report on Thompson River Bridge, 1876, 1882; (8) an 1892 pre-emption of Allison, Carefoot and Cameron in Yale District; (9) copy of a letter re road to Montgomery Landing, Kootenay District, 1896.

Series consists of a notebook containing various specifications, tenders, estimates, and costs of such projects as the Delta Dyke, the subdivision of Kootenay and Columbia cities, Victoria Electric Tramway, the Nelson and Fort Shepperd Railway, Vancouver Water Works, Ainsworth Water Works, Kootenay Reclamation Works; also contains notes on various aspects of engineering such as "weights of bridges" and "strains in 150' and 250' spans."
