Consists of correspondence inward and outward related to the operations of the Pacific Mills operation at Ocean Falls, BC. The majority of files are arranged alphabetically and by year, while some are arranged first by the originating office and then by year. These files document the relationship between activities at Ocean Falls and offices in Vancouver and San Francisco, 1916-1943.

Consists of office files arranged by subject, 1916-1950. These files also contained detailed data and statistics on the lumber industry in the Dominion as well as information on various tugs and launches used at Ocean Falls. Records also include, but not limited to, details of the Mechanics Ball, 1921-1928, and H.R. McMillan Export Company lumber sales, 1929-1936.

Arranged chronologically, records consist of statistical reports and surveys relating to manufacturing, pulp and paper production and shipping. Detailed inventories taken during 1972, to document inventory reductions, are also included for all areas of mill production. Reports and correspondence relating to barge, scow and tugboat movements for the period 1942 to 1972 also included.

The series consists of financial reporting documents created by the Ocean Falls Corporation from 1915 to 1973. The records include budgets, year end statements, including costs statements for the mill and townsite, maintenance analysis, and sales reports. Also includes detailed construction in progress data, 1965-1972, and logging ledgers 1917-1923. Records are arranged in chronologically and in like documentary formats.

Consists of general office correspondence and reports, including correspondence with the Vancouver office, 1968, and correspondence regarding the Twenty-five year club, 1968-1972.

Consists of wage schedules, job descriptions, organizational charts and program manuals. A small number of files relating to specific employees are also included. The records are arranged chronologically.

Consists of accident report books, 1961-1974, and other reporting documents related to occupational safety and first aid.

The series consists of weekly and monthly weather reports and detailed weather data summaries documenting rain fall, snow fall and hours of sunshine at Ocean Falls, created by the Ocean Falls Corporation between 1910 and 1972. The series also includes correspondence and survey reports related to Link Lake (1909-1919) and Dean River (1920-1925), as well as rain gauge reports and correspondence related to Ootsa Lake and White Sail Lake, 1922-1925.

Consists of data sheets, paper specifications, departmental budget information, and correspondence. Also includes reports related to aquaculture and pollution, 1969-1973, and daily operating data for paper machines, 1959 and 1963.

The series consists of mill operation log books created by the Engineering Office of the Ocean Falls Corporation between 1938 and 1973. The log books document operations at the mill.

The series consists of published commercial equipment manuals, ca. 1908 to 1953, relating to mill equipment used by staff in the engineering department at the mill at Ocean Falls.

Consists of maintenance, jobs completed and project files created by the engineering department at Ocean Falls. Also included are files detailing the new sawmill project, 1949-1952, and the groundwood mill modernization project, 1965-1970. Jobs completed files and project files are arranged sequentially and reflect a chronological series.

Consists of correspondence, including product brochures, relating to the technical manufacturing of paper products. Includes detailed information on specialty grade paper products, industrial chemicals, varied processing techniques and sizing. Records retain the file numbers assigned by the creator and have been arranged, primarily, in chronological order.

Consists of fire reports, fire alarm system reports, reports on Watchmen's routes and an ambulance log book, 1966-1980. Insurance inspection reports for the period 1946-1953, conducted by Pacific Indemnity, are included and arranged by report number, in chronological order. Records retain their original “FP” file number.

The series consists of files relating to the repair and maintenance of buildings at the Ocean Falls townsite from 1941 to 1972, with the majority of files reflecting work from the 1960s. The files are arranged in repair/maintenance file number order. The staged Martin Valley expansion is detailed in files 9-480 to 9-493.

Consists of subject files relating to buildings, business operations and townsite activities at Ocean Falls. Included are extensive notes and a multi-volume draft history of Ocean Falls and the mill operations, solicited by Crown Zellerbach Canada Limited in 1965, as well as detailed insurance inspection reports, 1936-1939, and townsite agreements for services. A limited number of district lot surveys are included with legal descriptions and survey drawings. Meetings minutes and correspondence for the Ocean Falls Public Library, 1950-1978, and extensive correspondence relating to civil defence strategies during the 1960s are also included.

The series consists of newsletters and published material relating to Ocean Falls, BC. Records include copies of the following publications: The Informer, 1968-1977; Crown Zellerbach Canada Limited Management Report, 1960-1968; School Board Report, 1970; Charleson School Yearbook, 1965; Community Recreational News, 1953; The United Worker, 1965; Crown Zellerbach Times, 1961, 1968; Crown Zellerbach News, 1961, 1968-1977; Ocean Falls Corporation Newsprint, 1977-1979; and, Western Pulp and Paper Worker, 1965. Also included is an undated poster for Crown Zellerbach Canada Limited.

Consists of three volumes Provincial Police Court record books for Ocean Falls Station, 1932-1952. Books show the name of presiding magistrate, name(s) of defendant, nature of the charge(s), costs or fines charged and recovered, name of arresting officer/justice and any additional remarks concerning the case.

Consists of financial reporting documents including capital budgets, cost statements, construction reports, and fixed asset inventories. Also includes Board of Director's minutes, 1973-1979, and detailed annual reviews of operations, 1973-1977.

The series consists of indexes created by the Ocean Falls Corporation from 1916 to around 1980. The index is a townsite maintenance card file and register for architectural plans and technical drawings for townsite buildings and millsite buildings and machinery. The indexes reflect an alpha-numeric classification/sub-classification system, recording the title of the drawing, the date it was created and, in some instances, the name of the engineer. The register is a sequential list of plans and drawings indicating those drawings that may have been obsolete during operations, 1916-1980.
