Arranged chronologically, records consist of statistical reports and surveys relating to manufacturing, pulp and paper production and shipping. Detailed inventories taken during 1972, to document inventory reductions, are also included for all areas of mill production. Reports and correspondence relating to barge, scow and tugboat movements for the period 1942 to 1972 also included.

Included are extensive notes and a multi-volume draft history of Ocean Falls and the mill operations, solicited by Crown Zellerbach Canada Limited in 1965, as well as detailed insurance inspection reports, 1936-1939, and townsite agreements for services. A limited number of district lot surveys are included with legal descriptions and survey drawings. Meetings minutes and correspondence for the Ocean Falls Public Library, 1950-1978, and extensive correspondence relating to civil defence strategies during the 1960s are also included.

Engineering Office plans and technical drawings indexes and register

The series consists of indexes created by the Ocean Falls Corporation from 1916 to around 1980. The index is a townsite maintenance card file and register for architectural plans and technical drawings for townsite buildings and millsite buildings and machinery. The indexes reflect an alpha-numeric classification/sub-classification system, recording the title of the drawing, the date it was created and, in some instances, the name of the engineer. The register is a sequential list of plans and drawings indicating those drawings that may have been obsolete during operations, 1916-1980.
