This series contains a report by Irene Mounce of the Division of Botany and Plant Pathology, Central Experimental Farm, Department of Agriculture, Ottawa on the "Forest Mycology of British Columbia, May-October 1938". The paper contains a report on the work of the Cowichan Lake Experiment Station and a discussion of the desirability of, as well as possible sites for, the establishment of a forest pathology laboratory in British Columbia.
This series contains two operational files from the Vancouver Forest District. The first file, coded MTS X4, is a Timber Management file from 1912-1917. The contents refer to Timber Sale X4 to Young and Scott of Point Grey, B.C. covering lands within the municipality of Point Grey, bounded, in part, by Sixteenth Avenue and the Musqueam Indian Reserve. The second file, which is uncoded, concerns the transfer of records to Victoria from the Supervisor of Scaler's office.

The series includes a printed copy of B.C. legislature's petition to the Queen, along with a manuscript copy of the Canadian Pacific Railway memorandum on "Vancouver Island Railway," December 1881. De Cosmos' map showing CPR terminus at Port Moody, alienated railway land on Vancouver Island, proposed ferry routes, etc. were transferred to PABC Library & Maps Division under accession M889117.

File 2 contains "Update", a series of staff bulletins issued in 1979-1980 in order to inform staff of the progress of the reorganization process.

This series contains Qualifying Pupil Lists and Summary Sheets for schools funded under Independent Schools Support Act (1977). Box 1: Pupil lists, arranged alphabetically by school. Includes names and ages of pupils, plus names and addresses of parents or guardians. Box 2: Summary sheets, also arranged alphabetically by school. The series includes reports on schools' curricula, time devoted to specific subjects, staff names and qualifications, school inspectors' notes and remarks.

This series contains a letterbook copy of despatches from Governor Douglas to Colonial Secretary, Duke of Newcastle, 8 June 1853, concerning expedition of HM Steam Sloop Virago to Queen Charlotte Islands. There is also a draft despatch, 26 July 1853, concerning the capture of vessel Susan Sturgis by Indians of Queen Charlotte Islands and Fort Simpson.

This series contains records of the Vancouver Island Board of Education and its successor, the British Columbia Board of Education. Records include minutes of Board meetings, letterbook of correspondence outward, account book of text books and other school supplies, and a notebook regarding Vancouver Island schools and visits to them by Superintendent of Education. The letterbook of correspondence and notebook of school visits in handwritten by Alfred Waddington.
The series consists of applications for registration of a motor and for a licence in respect thereof, created by the Provincial Police Force from 1916 to 1920. Applications give the make, style, no. of cylinders, engine no., etc., of vehicle; owner's name and address of place vehicle kept. Include application nos. 8943-8950, 8992-8993; 8994-9002; 9003, 9005-9012; 9013-9015, 9026-9030.
This series contains correspondence inward to J.W. Gibson, Director of Elementary Agricultural Education. The series includes reports on "Caring for School Gardens" [1913] and notes on correlation of rural science with manual training. It also includes "Remittance Forms" from "Patriotism and Production School Campaign" [1917], a patriotic fund-raising exercise held in schools to assist the war effort. The forms give the name of schools, teachers, and a description of projects undertaken by pupils. There are over one hundred (mainly) rural schools represented. This series may be used in conjunction with GR-0458 and GR-1446 (Elementary Education correspondence, 1915-1929).
