The Old Stone Church

The item is a painting of a building by Hilda Vincent Foster. The painting depicts the old stone church on Comiaken Hill, near Duncan, Vancouver Island. According to the label on the back of the painting, the church was constructed between 1870 and 1872 by Rev. Peter Rondeault, and became disused in 1880. The painting was done in 1966.
