The item is a volume containing lists of country lands for which applications for surveys were received. There is an index at the front of the volume showing the page numbers where information about the following districts were recorded: Yale, Lytton, New Westminster, Lillooet and Osoyoos. Recorded in each section is the application no., name of applicant, date of application, no. of acres, date of survey, by whom surveyed, locality and description of claim and remarks. The last page also lists seven applications for and issue of crown grants.
The item is a record book containing records of lands sold or auctioned in the district of Cayoosh. The volume is arranged by block and lot number and includes the name of purchasers with dates and amounts of payment.
This series contains records relating to pre-emptions in the Cariboo, Lillooet, Lytton and Kootenay Districts recorded by various Gold Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners of Lands and Works. The records consist of correspondence, notices of claim, sketches and affidavits and pertains largely to records in the vicinities of Quesnel, Alexandria, Williams Lake, Lytton and Cache Creek. The series also includes a detailed account of town lot sales at Quesnellemouth held on 13 October 1863 as well as an application for wages due, correspondence on various land disputes, several water records, and proposed leases of government reserves.
