Smith was a Scottish nanny shot to death on 26 July 1924 in Shaughnessy; initially thought to be a suicide, but was a murder covered up by various agencies, including the police and the coroner’s office; as well as the kidnap of a Chinese house boy, Won Foon Sing, by Vancouver Police.
