Photograph depicts two shots of a soldier practicing grenade throwing from a trench. Based on photographer notes, this photograph was taken at Sidney camp during summer field training in 1916. He is likely attached to the 143rd Battalion (B.C. Bantams) though his lack of Service Dress jacket and cap make it difficult to confirm.

Item is a collage photograph of 11 images and three insignias created to commemorate the 1933 reunion of the 48th (British Columbia) Reserve Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force. Nine of the images are captioned and include group photographs, buildings, and transportation. "Fraser Studio Photographers, 6082 Fraser Ave, Vancouver, B.C." is stamped on the verso.
