Thie series consists of an extensive collection of stock shots, depicting a wide range of B.C. Forest Service and Ministry of Forests activities and related subjects. Compiled from footage shot for a variety of purposes, the material was retained for potential use as stock footage in BC Forest Service and Ministry of Forests film productions and TV spots. Some footage was also loaned out for TV news use.

The item is a reel of training film. It was intended to aid discussion among trainees about handling bare-root planting stock in transit.

Coronation day

The item is a documentary film made in 1952. It shows BC-related activities in London England leading up to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, including the laying of a wreath on the grave of Capt. George Vancouver and Lt.-Gov. Clarence Wallace planting a dogwood tree in the same churchyard. The film begins and ends with BC footage showing highlights of the 1951 Royal Visit of Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh. There is also a brief sequence showing decorations and activities in Victoria and Vancouver to mark the coronation.

Includes spots focusing on the company's activities in world trade markets; methods of transporting logs and products; the self-dumping log barge; log sorting with dozer boats; new methods of planting and reforestation; forest fire protection; pollution control; the Ash River Valley reforestation project, begun in 1942; the educational activities of wildlife filmmaker Tommy Tompkins, sponsored by MacMillan Bloedel; and a bird sanctuary near Port Alberni supported by the company. Each spots is 1-2 minutes long.
