The item consists of a video cassette tape (VHS) copied in 1990 from a 3/4 inch U-Matic video tape created by the National Archives of Canada in 1989.

Rivers Inlet : a century of salmon fishing

The item is a recreational video from 1987. It depicts the history of salmon fishing and canning on Rivers Inlet and today's thriving sport fishery on the Inlet, including the resort owners joint efforts in Fisheries enhancement. The historical segment makes extensive use of archival film footage from the Provincial Archives of BC.

The series consists of photocopies of records originally created by the Federal Commission on the Salmon Fishing Industry in British Columbia, 1902. It contains copies of unprinted reports from 1902 to 1908 to the Minister of Marine of Fisheries and record of proceedings of sittings to gather evidence.

This series consists of three volumes of records from the Commission on the Capture of Salmon in the Sooke Area and Purse-Seines in the Gulf of Georgia, 1939. Records include correspondence, draft report, exhibits and transcripts of evidence taken at hearings (pp. 1-252, 341-1953).
