Giant's Castle Mountain

Item consists of 1 oil painting by Grafton Tyler Brown depicting the farm of Alexander Leslie Fortune in Enderby, BC. Brown served as an expedition artist for the Amos Bowman Geological Survey in British Columbia, during which time he created sketches which he later painted. In 1883, Brown created 22 paintings based on the sketches he made during this Survey, and these paintings were exhibited in Victoria during the same year. This painting was #22 in that series.
