The fonds consists of the records generated by the Royal Oak Women's Institute in the course of its regular meetings and includes the minute books from 1921 to 1995 with the following gaps: 1936-1942; 1947-1952 and 1983. A note in the accession file states that the missing volumes were destroyed due to improper storage. The fonds also includes a folder of information regarding the formation of the Queen Alexandra solarium, 1925-1927; a book listing donations for the Queen Alexandra solarium, 1934-1936 and a membership book from 1967.
