The record consists of a presentation album made on or around April 4, 1911 by an unknown creator. The album has a cedar bark cover and contains 18 black and white photographs mounted on paper. There are no captions or page numbers but there is a hand lettered title page which provides the album title.

Item is a photograph album of 88 black and white prints of Minister of Lands, Price Ellison's expedition in Strathcona Park in 1910, as part of the McBride government survey of the region. Scenes depict locations of the traverse, such as Buttle Lake, Crown Mountain, Nine Peaks, Upper Campbell Lake, Great Central Lake, and several glaciers.
This item was presumably presented to Hon. Richard McBride as it bears a gilt inscription of his name on the cover. There are other copies in existence, as BC Archives holds a copy presented to Price Ellison which bears an inscription of his name, and an edition presented to Premier William John Bowser is attested in the Arctic, Yukon, and Western Canadiana Catalogue 43, March 10, 2000.
