This series contains reports presented to the Forestry Committee of the Legislative Assembly by the Chief Forester. The 1936 Report was further amplified by a presentation by the Forester in charge of the Forest Surveys Division, and the 1940 Report was presented by the Assistant Chief Forester due to the absence of the Chief Forester on war-related business.
This series contains a report by Irene Mounce of the Division of Botany and Plant Pathology, Central Experimental Farm, Department of Agriculture, Ottawa on the "Forest Mycology of British Columbia, May-October 1938". The paper contains a report on the work of the Cowichan Lake Experiment Station and a discussion of the desirability of, as well as possible sites for, the establishment of a forest pathology laboratory in British Columbia.

The records are annotated by Forest Branch, ca. 1927, to show forest reserves. Vol. 1 covers W.C.M., E.C.M., and W.7th; vol. 2 covers W.6th. The registers, arranged by legal description, indicate the nature of the grant, the number, date of entry, file number, patent approval date, and name of grantee.

Information captured in these records includes the amount and name of payee. The series also includes a list of debit slips issued on the Forest Branch trust account between 1920 and 1927.
