Item consists of one studio portrait (full-length) of a man believed to be a Kwakwaka’wakw Chief from Tsaxis (Fort Rupert). This identification is based on ICAR PN06140. He is wearing a naval officer's coat and a fur cap. He is holding a presentation staff in his hand to the viewer's left and a dagger is hanging from his wrist on the viewer's right. The negative does not appear to have been manipulated.
