Between ourselves : An island is an island

SUMMARY: "Between Ourselves" was a weekly series of hour-long radio programs that presented Canada to Canadians. It featured aspects of Canadian life in docudramas, plays, music, and interviews, originating fr;om different regions of Canada. The series ran from 1966 to 1979. In this episode, "An Island is an Island", individual island residents talk about their experiences and island life, including bird an;d animal life, and farming.;

Haro and Rosario Straits

Item consists of bound atlas measuring 35 x 52 cm. It contains one admiralty chart (number 2689) of the Haro and Rosario Straits as surveyed by Captain G.H. Richards and the officers of H.M. S. Plumper in 1858-1859 and Juan de Fuca Strait to Admiralty Inlet by Captain H. Kellet in 1847. The map was published in July 1859 and hydrographer corrections were made in September 1864 and February 1865. The map also includes four inset elevations: (View A) Patos Island and Monarch Head, (View B) Mount Constitution and Puffin Island; (View C) Galiano Island and Mount Parke; and (View D) Mount Benson, Narrow Island, Thetis Island, and Hall Island.
