She was raised, schooled and worked as a sales clerk there until 1913. She received training as a Deaconess in Methodist Church. She worked during WWI in London and in Paisley. She married a Canadian war veteran and came to Abbotsford in 1919. Description of home, United Church, detail on "set-up". Attitudes towards "moral conditions"; etc.
