Biographical history

John Clark was born in Dundas, Ontario. He received his B.A. from the University of Toronto and became a lawyer in 1910. He formed a partnership in B.C. the following year. In 1915, he was given command of the 72nd Overseas Battalion and in 1918 was promoted to Brigadier-General. He served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Vancouver Burrard from 1921 to 1930. Clark was active in the Canadian Bar Association.
