The file consists of an original journal kept by Thomas Lowe during his trip from Fort Vancouver to York Factory in spring 1847. The party set out on March 24 and arrived in York Factory on 30 June. Lowe departed York Factory to return to Fort Vancouver in July 1847, arriving on November 20, 1847.
A transcript of the diary has been made and is housed in a separate file folder with the call number A/B/20.4/L95A.
