Biographical history
The date of the establishment of the County Court at Lillooet has not yet been determined by BC Archives research staff (to March 2016).
On January 9, 1975, the British Columbia government approved and ordered OIC # 0091-1975, which disestablished the registries of both the County Court and Supreme Court established at Lillooet, effective 1975 April 1. The same order applied to the County Court and Supreme Court registries at Kaslo and Vanderhoof.
On February 27, 1975, the British Columbia government approved and ordered OIC # 0803-1975. This ordered that the previous order, OIC # 0091-1975, be amended, revoking its application to the registries of the Supreme Court and of the County Court at Lillooet (and at Vanderhoof).
All County Courts were merged into the Supreme Court on July 1, 1990.

Scope and content
The series consists of two volumes relating to partnership declarations in the Lillooet County Court.
Volume one (1909-1938) is a register recording declarations. It is divided into three sections: declarations of individual and firm partnerships, declaration of trade names and declarations of dissolutions of partnerships. Items are ordered by filing date. There are some original firm declarations pasted into the volume.
Volume two (1909-1969) contains original signed partnership declarations, declarations of firm names and dissolutions of partnerships. The different kind of declarations are numbered by filing date and are interfiled together.
