RECORDED: [location unknown], 1979-12-18 SUMMARY: Louise M. Iverson was born in 1905 on Niagara Street, James Bay, Victoria. Her parents came from England and she describes her father's work in Victoria. She discusses Christmases; Sunday school affairs; oyster barrels on Government Street. Christmas days -- the food and preparations. The toys of the time, ca.1910. She describes her mother's role in the church and choir with the Spencers. Downtown at Christmas-time: butchers, the food displays in grocery stores. Her mother's attitude towards England. Christmas at school, decorations and singing. Church and the part that music played in her life.
