The item consists of an industrial film created by Lew Parry Productions for the Mining Association of British Columbia in 1971. It was shot at mines site throughout BC and show current and projected activities in the field of pollution control and land reclamation.

News item. Interview with Minister of Mines Tom Waterland. Queen City Mines wants to mine in Strathcona Park, but Minister says the company will have to comply with strict provincial government rules relating to environmental preservation. He says for this reason it's highly unlikely that mining will ever begin.
