Henry Muskett was private secretary of Government House and a landscape architect.

Diary, June 23 - October 3, 1902, kept by Muskett when he accompanied Dr. C.F. Newcombe who was collecting botanical specimens for the Field Columbian Museum, Chicago, East Coast, Prince of Wales Island (Kasaan Bay), Alaska, Queen Charlotte Islands, and mainland of BC. There is also one loose folded sheet containing four diary pages, 12th - 14th (month not noted) covering stay at Banff on way to Vancouver. Diary also contains "Story of totem pole near Massett", "Story of pole at Massett", "Story of pole at Kayan - second part". Loose pages contain notes on distances between Skidegate and various points and "net making from fireweed". Four photograph albums transferred to Visual Records accession 198602-11.
