Series consists of typescript copies of Victoria area news stories written primarily for local newspapers and magazines between ca. 1960 and 1972.
Some of the stories were written by Jim Ryan, but most were written by Ron Baird and Barney McKinley. Other writers included Doug Hay, Desmond Bill, Ian MacAlpine and Lloyd Smith. Many were accompanied in print by Jim Ryan photographs. They are arranged alphabetically by the subject headings designated by Jim Ryan and many of them match up with his photographic print files. A number of the stories have associated photograph caption lists.
Also included in the series is a copy of the subject list, which includes references to existing print files, created by Archives staff in 1981.
