Scope and content

The sub-series consists of a photograph album created by the Royal Commission on Indian Affairs containing 375 black and white photographs taken or acquired by the commissioners between 1913 and 1916.

Physical condition

The album is in poor condition. The binding has been removed and the pages separated. Some pages are torn and there is evidence of water damage and mould. Some of the photographs are torn and some are missing.

Arrangement

The photographs have been numbered, presumably in the order of the album pages. Some individual numbers missing. Some numbers have been duplicated and were given an "A" suffix to distinguish them from the regular numbers. Whole album pages may be missing.
