A studio portrait taken at a photographic studio attributed to Mrs. R. Maynards Photographic Gallery, part of a larger portfolio of individual and group studio portraits of Maynard clientele. The portrait (full-length) consists of an unidentified individual (1 adult) standing. It is a collodion glass plate negative (6.5 x 8.5 inches). The studio flooring (geometrical pattern tiling) and studio accessories (chair) and plain backdrop are visible. This negative has been manipulated (e.g. there are minor touch-ups around gaps in the emulsion near the head and torso of the sitter). There appears to be a [substance] brushed onto the surface of the negative, covering the entire plate.
