The watercolour was owned by Anne Williams, a friend of Edith Forester, who was the artist's partner. After Williams' passing, Margaret Shugg donated it to the BC Archives

Scope and content

The item is a painting of Hilda Vincent Foster wearing a green dress. The painting was done by her father Herbert Wilson Foster in 1912.
