Biographical history

In 1927 the British Columbia government established a Supreme Court registry at Princeton (Yale Judicial District) approved and ordered by Order-in-Council # 0518-1927 dated May 20, 1927.

Princeton courthouse operations were consolidated into the Penticton courthouse on 31 May 2002. The courthouse was re-opened as a permanent circuit court of Penticton on 1 September 2002. The successor to the Princeton Registry is the Penticton Registry.

The series consists of divorce case files from the Princeton Supreme Court, 1928 to 1949. Most of these cases appear to have been tried elsewhere, primarily Vancouver.
