Biographical history

Appointed May 16, 1929; report dated August 23, 1929. Commissioner: W. E. Fisher, barrister, of Prince Rupert. The commission was appointed to investigate charges that government employee, John L. Barge, of Queen Charlotte City, had retained government property for his own use. The commission determined the charges were correct.

This series consists of the records of the Royal Commission of Inquiry Into Allegations Against John L. Barge, 1929. Commission records consist of Provincial Secretary's correspondence file, including Letter Patent appointing the commissioner, commissioner's original signed report, vouchers, etc.; Attorney General's correspondence file P114-1; transcript of evidence presented at proceedings; and Clerk's copy of the commissioner's report.
