Mrs. J.S. Piper interview

RECORDED: [location unknown], 1968 [summer] SUMMARY: Mrs. J.S. Piper recalls her arrival in Lund in 1910, and then later at Seaford in 1912, including the naming of Seaford. Then she describes where she was born in Ontario and coming out west with her ;mother in 1901 to Bellingham. Then she continues to describe living in Lund and then Seaford; hunting; Indians at Squirrel Cove; and the wedding of her sister-in-law. TRACK 2: Mrs. Piper continues with the story of the wedding which relates to the 1913 shipwreck of the "Cheslakee"; the post office as it was in 1921; a general description of life at Seaford; the death of her husband and her re-marriage in 1941; details about the Columbia Coast Mission and Reverend Canon Greene; and finally some random thoughts.
