Administrative history

Silver Spring Brewery was incorporated in 1902 and was based in Victoria, B.C.
Coast Breweries Ltd. was a consortium founded by Robert Fiddes and Associates in order to hold the assets of the Victoria-Phoenix Brewing Company, Silver Spring Limited in Victoria, Westminster Brewery Limited in New Westminster, and Kamloops Rainier Brewing Company of Canada.

American breweries soon joined between 1934 and 1949, including the General Brewing Company of San Francisco, California; Star Brewing Company of Vancouver, Washington; and Lucky Lager Brewing Company in Azusas, California. By 1954, the brewing consortium had been renamed Lucky Lager Breweries Limited, and three years later the company was purchased by Labatt Breweries.
