The item is a composite print of a recreational film from 1979. It shows the promotion at ski areas in BC with animated sequences about development of skiing. Most ski footage from Rockies, but brief shots of Mt. Whistler and an Okanagan ski slope.

The item is a composite print of a recreational film from 1978-1979. It highlights ski resorts and skiing conditions throughout BC. Includes animated sequences about development of skiing. Most of the ski footage was shot in the Rockies, but there are also brief shots of Mount Whistler and an Okanagan ski slope.

Garibaldi Park

The item consists of a travelogue film made by the Brandvold family. It includes an original film showing various trips to Garibaldi Park and the construction of Diamond Head Chalet there. It also includes a print of the same film and two videocassette copies containing voice-over descriptions of the film's contents by female narrator Joan Mathews and male narrator Emil Brandvold.
The film is in three sections, showing: (1) exploratory trips in Garibaldi Park, 1941-1944; (2) the construction of Diamond Head Chalet, 1944-1947; and (3) a summer ski trip to Garibaldi Lake in June 1948 or June 1949.
