Albion Cricket Club

Item consists of one group studio portrait of 27 men in a card mat. "Picture of Albion Cricket Club about 1908. Standing at right is Captain Scott as empire. Eighth in from right is Robert White. [?] sixth from right is Richard Kindall" is written on paper backing in pencil. "The Art Gallery, Joseph Sommer, Pictures, Frames and Artists Materials, [?] Government Street, Victoria, B.C." has been stamped on paper backing. "Mr. White 655 Niagara St. $1.35" is written in pencil above the stamp.

Bert Buller; Frank Gower interview

Item consists of one audio cassette containing two distinct interviews. The first (track 1) is with Robert L. (Bert) Buller. The second interview (track 2) is with Frank Gower. Both interviews discuss the history of the James Bay Athletic Association.

Corrig College boy's soccer team

Item consists of a mount of one photograph on card of unidentified boys and two men posed outdoors. The boys are in matching sports uniforms with overlapping letters V and C on the front of their jerseys. One holds a soccer ball. The men are in mortarboard caps. "Corring College (formerly Victoria College), private school" is written in pencil on the verso. "Archives of British Columbia" has been stamped on the verso and "31147" written in the centre. Mat and frame details have been written on the verso in pencil: "Buff Mat, 1/2 oak oiled, 2 1/2 margin, 125". Corrig College was a private boarding and day school for boys at Douglas Street and Niagara Street. It was briefly renamed Victoria College during the 1890s.

Item consists of a mount of one group studio portrait of seven young men. "B.C. Championships 1901-1902" has been written on the basketball in the image foreground in black ink. Ken Leeming interview

RECORDED: Victoria (B.C.), 1981-07-06 SUMMARY: In 1981, Kenneth Leeming was made an honourary life member of the B.C. Historical Association in appreciation of his work for the association in different fields. He served three terms as chairman of the Victoria section of the provincial association and, as a member of a pioneer Victoria family, concerned himself with the preservation of records and recollections. In this interview, he discusses historical associations and their work, and his recollections of sport, boyhood activities, and memorable events in Victoria.

Photographs

The series consists of photographs which document the activities of the James Bay Athletic Association (JBAA). Included in this series are photographs of various athletic teams, sporting events, and of the JBAA hall and facilities. Many of the individual photographs contain additional information on the verso, including the names of the athletes in the photographs, specific dates or match information, and the name of the photographer. This information is not provided on all photographs.
