George Frederick Stalker was an Ottawa architect at the time he entered the 1892 competition to design the British Columbia Parliament Buildings under the pseudonym Alma. He subsequently moved to British Columbia, and married Clara Bell Montgomery in Vancouver on 18 Apr 1906. They lived in Wilmer where he was appointed a stipendiary magistrate and a coroner in 1910.
