Cariboo region subjects include fishing, motoring, horseback riding, boating, hiking, pioneer buildings, a covered wagon, and ranching. In Vancouver the focus is shipping. Upper Fraser Valley subjects include Chilliwack businesses and residences, agriculture, outdoor recreation, Hope area campgrounds, Fort Hope Lodge, hiking, boating, and horseback riding. Visitors cross the Fraser River in a canoe to see a waterfall.

Certificates of appointment and certificates of dismissal for police constables and peace officers under the National Harbours Board Act and the Canada Ports Corporation Act registered at the Vancouver Law Courts. The certificates (many of which are photocopies) were originally kept on a Shannon file with no consistent numbering system or pairing of appointments and dismissals.

These include "Van-O-Rama," a TV journal of local interest; a news program; a discussion of metropolitan planning in Vancouver with Warnett Kennedy; a football game; a children's show; a variety show featuring a female singer and a barbershop quartet; a West Indian dance performed by an ethnic dance troupe from UBC; a large grad choir, etc. Includes footage of simulated TV studio operations; an Artray film crew at a tree nursery, on the waterfront and in Fraser Valley; views of Port Moody waterfront and Vancouver skyline.

He recalls what Vancouver was like when he arrived including the Vancouver Opera House, the Empress Hotel in Victoria, stories about movie star Victor McLaglen, his experiences with cargo in Seattle, and the money crisis in America. He continues with a story about rescuing a man who fell overboard, his decision to move to the Yukon and recollections of experiences there including the Old Chief, the poet, Robert Service, and details of various adventurers. TRACK 2: Charles Brookman continues with more on his time in the Yukon, people who sailed ships, navigation, details about boats, stories of Captains of square-riggers and their boats, stories of incidents on his boat including one where a life was lost, a story of prospectors who were unaffected by mosquitoes because they never washed themselves, and a detailed description of the 1907 race riots in Vancouver.

Item consists of a mount of one group portrait of numerous children and four women at a fancy dress (costume) ball. Portrait was taken in front of an indoor stage.

"G[?] and [?] 1465 Broadway" is written in text in pencil on the bottom right. "Children's fancy dress ball as the allies - Hotel Vancouver, Dec. 27, 1918?" and several children's names are written in pencil on the verso.
